Hayward Studio is an upholstery workshop in East London founded by Jenny Senior.

I’m an AMUSF qualified upholsterer with over 7 years’ experience in both modern and traditional upholstery techniques.

I trained in upholstery because I love old things, I stuck with it because new furniture is often poor quality, put together without the expertise required to make seating both comfortable and long lasting.

As an experienced upholsterer I can work with you to return your old (or not so old) and much loved seats to their original comfort and look, or make them look completely different and more comfortable than they’ve ever been. In a sea of ‘off the peg’ furniture, we can work together to make a one off.

I also make custom soft furnishings like scatter cushions, box cushions, bolsters, even lampshades and blinds; advising on fabrics, fillings, and finishes.

My upholstery career started at Shoreditch Design Rooms, where I trained and spent five years running the workshop and upholstering with the talented crew there, before moving to the brilliant Charles of Lloyd Upholstery, where I continue to work on a freelance basis.
